Eileen Christina (Anderson) Link

LINK, Eileen Christina Anderson, 75, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from advanced Alzheimer's Dementia, surrounded by her husband, sons and immediate family.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Captain John J. Anderson, Sr., and Kathleen O’Keeffe, her brothers John (Jack) J. Anderson Jr., Neil J. Anderson and sister Kathleen Inglis (Anderson).  Eileen is survived by her older sister Marjorie Anderson; her husband of 55 years, Richard A. Link; her children, Richard A. Link II (Martha) of Locust Grove, Virginia, Paul C. Link of Mechanicsville, Virginia, John K. Link (Donna) of Suwanee, Georgia, and Ryan A. Link of Richmond, Virginia. Eileen is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Anna C. Link, Forrest A. Link, Laura M. Link, Sarah E. Link, Emily K. Link and Lorelei K. Link. She will be missed by all and remembered for her delicious baking, decorating Christmas cookies, birthday cakes, wonderful recipes and homemade dishes.  Born in Baltimore, Eileen graduated from the Institute of Notre Dame School in 1960 and attended Maryland Institute School of Art. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy, Mechanicsville, VA 23111, (804)427-2000;  from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A memorial service will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 7, 2018 at Monaghan Funeral Home.  A Mass will be celebrated at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Ashland, Virginia at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Eileen’s name.
