Yolanda Maria (Montalto) Cost

Yolanda M. Cost, 95, a native of Syracuse, NY, and a long-time Richmond-area resident, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2026, in Mechanicsville, VA. She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Widowski of Fort Edward, NY; son, Tim and wife, Stephanie, of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; son, Dan and wife, Kim, of Hopewell Junction, NY; daughter-in-law, Connie (McGhee) Cost of Mechanicsville, VA; brother, Vince Montalto and wife Alice of Williamsburg, VA; grandsons, Chris Widowski, McGhee Cost, Drew Cost, Tyler Cost, and Kyle Cost; granddaughters, Lisa Gelles and Melanie Cost; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Peter, and her sons, Randy and David. Born in Syracuse, NY, on March 10, 1931, Mrs. Cost was a graduate of Onondaga Valley High School and spent most of her life in the Syracuse area. She was a devoted wife and mother whose greatest joy and pride were her family and her faith. A private graveside service for immediate family will be held at Hanover Memorial Park in Mechanicsville.
