William Ross Tate

Tate, William Ross, 64 of King William, VA, beloved husband, and father, passed away, on Friday, November 3, 2023, after a long, hard-fought, battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sarah Jean. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Paula B. Tate; his son, Seth Brooke Tate; two brothers, Keith, and Stewart; three sisters, Rose, Jean, and Gail; and a multitude of other family as well as some very special friends. Ross was an avid reader. He enjoyed bluegrass music, gardening, boating, astronomy, and taking care of his family. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and provider, and will be dearly missed.  The family will receive guests for a Celebration of Life from 4 – 6 p.m., Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy., Mechanicsville, VA 23111. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to the American Cancer Society.
