Sarvay, Sr., William Randolph- 87, of Mechanicsville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 25, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus Henry Sarvay III and Anne Hanky; two brothers, Rufus Henry Sarvay, IV, and John F. Sarvay; and his son, Michael Sarvay. He is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Doris Beirne Sarvay; his children, William Sarvay, Jr., Deborah Smith, and Jacqueline Adams; ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Bill was in the “Blue’s Reserves” (Army National Guard). He loved to travel, read, fish, go out to eat, and spending time with his family and church family. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 pm, Friday, March 1, 2024, at Sandston Baptist Church, 100 W. Williamsburg Rd., Sandston, VA 23150, with a funeral service to follow at 2 pm. Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to Sandston Baptist Church or Tunnel to the Towers Foundation; 2361 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10306.
