William "Bill" Sandy, Sr.

SANDY, Sr., William “Bill” – 83 of Glen Allen, VA passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Eunice Sandy, and his sisters, Joyce and Shirley. He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Linda Sandy; four children, Yvonne Britt (George), Rita Henderson, William Sandy, Jr. (Michelle), and Tina Van Pelt; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, James Sandy (Cheri); sister-in-law, Sharon Smith; brothers-in-law, Doug Williams (Shelby) and Al Williams (Mary Ann); and many other relatives and friends. Bill was a devoted member of Cold Harbor Road Church of Christ where he was a song leader and taught Sunday School. He was a jack of all trades and could do most anything. He was a hairdresser for over 20 years, served as an electrician, and was employed by the US Postal Service. Bill was outgoing, he loved people, and had a kind and generous heart. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends from 11:30 am – 12:00 pm, on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Cold Harbor Road Church of Christ, 6856 Cold Harbor Rd., Mechanicsville, VA 23111, with a funeral service to follow at noon. Interment will follow at Hanover Memorial Park.
