LOVETTE, William Morris- 81 of Hanover, VA entered eternal rest, Sunday, April 14, 2024. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Vivian, his parents, Von and Inez Lovette; and many siblings. He is survived by his children, Glenda Lovette and Wayne Lovette (Sheila); grandchildren, Felicia Lovette, Shannon Corker (James), and Melissa Leigh (Rex); 3 great-grandchildren, Kayla, Haylee, and Adaleigh; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Morris retired from A&P as a meat cutter and then became an independent truck driver. He was a handyman who could fix just about anything. He was blessed with the gift of gab and never met a stranger. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed. The family wishes to say a special thank you to his caregiver, Hope Dyer for her devoted care during his final days. The family will receive friends from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm, Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy., Mechanicsville, VA 23111, where a funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm. Interment will follow at Signal Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the National Kidney Foundation at kidney.org.
