KNIGHT, Trudie Howard, 69, of Mechanicsville, VA, went to be with her beloved husband in heaven on Saturday, September 10, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Scott in 2004; stepmother, Louise Howard; and her mother, Helen Shurm. Left to treasure her memory is her father, retired Trooper Robert “Rock” Howard; her two children, Angela New and Billy Shaw (Melissa); and her three grandchildren, Robbie Wagner (Aries), and Mason and Hadley Shaw – her Angels. She also leaves behind her wonderful sister Brenda (Tim), lifelong friends and so many others that were lucky to have known her. Trudie was the proud matriarch of C&W Hanover Septic for the last 35+ years, never officially retiring. Anyone who had any relationship with C&W knew Trudie, she was the voice of the business. She will be greatly missed by her devoted employees who were always more like family. Trudie was a proud, very hard-working woman, but was always sure to play hard as well. She enjoyed gambling (especially blackjack), going on cruises, Daytona Beach, and anything that involved being with her family. There will forever be an enormous void in the hearts and lives of those closest to Trudie. The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm, Thursday, September 15, 2022 and Friday September 16, 2022, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy., Mechanicsville, VA 23111. Her funeral service will be held at 11 am, Saturday September 17, 2022, at Monaghan Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at Independence Christian Church Cemetery in Ashland.
