DOWDY, Tiffany - Our beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend who filled every room with love, laughter, and strength, Tiffany Dowdy, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2025. She was a devoted daughter, a loving sister, and above all, a cherished mother to her daughter Savannah, who was her pride and joy. Tiffany’s love and encouragement will continue to guide Savannah every step of the way.
She is survived by her father, Jim Dowdy; her brothers, Timothy Bilo and wife Madison, and Tony Franklin and wife Kelly; and her daughter, Savannah. She is also remembered by countless friends, coworkers, and loved ones whose lives she touched. She now joins her mother, Deborah, in eternal rest.
Tiffany dedicated nearly 20 years of her life to serving her community as a 911 dispatcher for Hanover County, answering calls in its hardest moments with courage and compassion. She also gave her heart to education, serving as President of the Henrico County Council of PTAs, where she tirelessly worked to improve schools for every child.
She will be remembered for her bright spirit and big personality- stubborn, funny, sassy, and fiercely loyal. A proud graduate of High Point University, a devoted Harry Potter fan, and a member of the exclusive book club The Triad, Tiffany brought joy and laughter to those around her.
Even in her passing, Tiffany gave the gift of life to five people through organ donation. One last act of selflessness that perfectly reflected who she was.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Parkway, Mechanicsville, Virginia 23111. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Tiffany’s honor to support Savannah’s future.
Tiffany’s legacy will live on in her daughter, her family, her friends, her coworkers, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
