LUCAS, Jr. Thomas Bryan, 68 of Richmond, VA passed away, December 19, 2020. He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Ackie Brooking; and a brother, Walter Earl Lucas. Bryan is survived by his beloved daughter, Cynthia Lucas; a granddaughter, Allie Lee; his father, Bryan Lucas, Sr and his soulmate Jane Durvin. Bryan was an incredibly talented, self-taught, musician. He could play multiple instruments including the banjo, guitar, bass, and piano. Over the years, he was in multiple bands and played for several stars, including Charlie Daniels, Ricky Skaggs, Jimmie Hendrix, Leon Russell, Emmy Lou Harris, Alice Cooper, and Delbert McClintock. He had the opportunity to play and sing at the Grand Old Opry and during Mardi Gras in New Orleans, as well as, multiple charity concerts. He was a master at building motorcycles. He was a kind and gentle soul. He was a great friend and an amazing father. With the recent birth of his first grandchild, he was a proud “Pappy”. He will be greatly missed. A celebration of life with be announced in the spring.
