Thomas Andrew "Drew" Gilbert

GILBERT, Thomas Andrew “Drew” – 23 of Mechanicsville, VA gained his heavenly wings, on Sunday, September 8, 2024. He was greeted in heaven by his maternal grandparents, Charles “Buddy” And Patricia “Pat” Dunn; and his uncle, Edward Zollie Gilbert. Left to cherish his memory are his devoted parents, Tom and Robin Dunn Gilbert; his brother, Jeremy Gilbert (Dani); sister, Kayleigh Gilbert; niece, Raina; paternal grandparents, John and Jean Gilbert; aunts and uncles, Johnny Gilbert (Trina), Brenda Gilbert, Belinda Gilbert, and Chip Dunn; cousins, Sydney and Lee Dunn, Ashley Cole (Brian), Reid Williams (Sandee), and Daniel, Juliet, Scarlett, and Austin Gilbert; and many other family and friends. Drew was a 2019 graduate of Lee Davis High School. He enjoyed playing golf and watching the Washington Red Skins and VA Tech Hokies football. He was a loving son, brother, and friend.  Drew had a kind heart and a gentle soul and will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am, Friday, September 13, 2024, at the Church of the Epiphany, 8000 Hermitage Rd., Richmond, VA 23228. Interment will follow in the church memorial gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Mechanicsville High School JROTC.
