MOORE, Theresa Jeter, age 57, of Mechanicsville, went to be with the Lord on August 3, 2024, following a lengthy illness surrounded by family and friends. Theresa is survived by her husband, Tony; son, Peyton; and her parents, Arzie and Helen. She is also survived by her brother, Les (Gena); mother-in-law, Sissie; brothers-in-law, Stanley (Stephanie); Tim; and JW (Jamie); sister-in-law, Christie (Brandon); and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins, and so many special friends. Theresa graduated from JMU with a Master of Science to become a speech-language pathologist. She loved the beach, cooking, and later in life, her garden and crafts. Theresa was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at a young age, but she fought hard and never lost hope. She never complained or said, “Why me”. She loved the Lord, her family, and friends. Special thanks to the transplant team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital for their dedication. A Celebration of Life service will be held at New Bridge Baptist, 5701 Elko Road, Sandston, VA 23150 on Tuesday, August 20 at 11:00 am with visitation at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation – www.crohnscolitisfoundation.org.
