Terry W. Brown Sr.

BROWN Sr., Terry W., 86, of Mechanicsville, Virginia went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 6, 2023.  He was preceded in death by his loving parents, one brother, and two sisters.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Fay S. Brown; one devoted son, Terry Brown Jr.; and one sister, Fay B. Elrod.  Terry was a member of Mechanicsville Baptist Church for many years, as well as “You and I” Sunday school class.  He was a proud member of Washington and Henry Masonic Lodge and the American Legion, post #175. Terry attended Four Oaks School and was a graduate of Campbell College.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Verizon.  Terry will be greatly missed.  The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 pm, Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Monaghan Funeral Home; 7300 Creighton Pkwy., Mechanicsville, VA 23111 with a Masonic Service to begin at 6:30 pm.  A funeral service will be held at 11 am, Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Mechanicsville Baptist Church; 8016 Atlee Rd., Mechanicsville, VA 23111 with interment to follow at Four Oaks Cemetery in North Carolina.
