LONG, Shirley F. – 88 of Richmond, VA went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, May 28, 2024. She was greeted in heaven by her beloved husband, Edwin C. Long; daughter, Debra Harper; great-granddaughter, Kendall Harper; and a brother, Bruce Fussell. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Cliff Long (Kathryn), Bob Long, Kim Johnston (Mike), and Matt Long (Kelly Smith); son-in-law, Kennie Harper (Cindy); fifteen grandchildren, Angelica, Joshua, Christopher, Clifton, Ryan, Kristin, Amber, Katlin, Amy, Carey, Lee, Jordan, Reagan, Matthew, and Staceylee; fourteen great-grandchildren, Millie, Savannah, Jacob, Natalie, Norah, Nellie, Christyan, Layne, Paisley, Madison, Jason, Ethan, and Megan; six great-great-grandchildren, Levi, Avalyn, Raina Jane, Anson, Quincy, and Halle; a sister, Pittapat Dunn; and a brother, Wayne Fussell. Shirley was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a Godly woman, who loved the Lord and sharing her faith with others. She cherished her family and the time shared with them. She enjoyed gardening and bird watching. Shirley loved people and never met a stranger. She will be greatly missed. In keeping with her wishes, a private graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
