Sherry Patrick Krouse

KROUSE, Sherry P. 71 of Mechanicsville, VA peacefully passed away at his home, surrounded by his devoted family on Thursday, May 5, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Winifred Krouse; two sisters, Dawn Krouse and Barbara Mosby; mother and father-in-law, Carol Thompson and Kenneth Knick; brother-in-law, Allen Weiford; and a nephew, Shawn Krouse. He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Lynn Krouse; two sons, Bryan Krouse (Jade) and Cody Krouse; three beautiful grandchildren, Julius, Jaycen, and Tanner; a brother, Eddie Krouse (Fran); father-in-law, Gary Thompson; stepmother-in-law, Arlene Knick; brother-in-law, Eric Knick (Shelley); five sisters-in-law, Terri Weiford, Stephanie Hurd (Gary), Kimberly Holderman; Angie Knick (Brett), and Melissa Cardwell (Tommy); niece, Jennifer Dickerson (Faith); nephews, Michael Krouse, Eddie Wayne Krouse, and Mark Dickerson (DeAnna); and many other relatives and friends. Sherry enjoyed riding his Harley. He proudly served his country in the US Army during Vietnam. He was completely devoted to his family and always put them first. He had a great passion for life and lived it to its fullest. His motto was, “Live ‘til you die, I did!” A funeral service with military honors will be held at 6 pm, Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy., Mechanicsville, VA 23111. The family will receive friends after the service until 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Neighborhood Resource Center, 1519 Williamsburg Rd., Richmond, VA 23231.
