Scott Edward Wood

Wood, Scott Edward - 52 of Mechanicsville, VA passed away suddenly, on February 21, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father, Royal Edward Wood; brother, Steven Gregory Wood; and mother-in-law, Helen N. Broache. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 26 years, Wendy Broache Wood; his children, Hunter and Kaitlyn; his mother, Patricia Austin (Steve); father-in-law, Berkley Broache; and Georgia Wood. Scott enjoyed fishing and duck hunting, as well as rooting for the Cowboys. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing sports and drag racing his 69’ Camaro. Scott made many wonderful friends during his many years with State Farm Insurance. He will be greatly missed by many. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 pm, Monday, February 26, 2024, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy., Mechanicsville, VA 23111 where a funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm, Tuesday, February 27, 2024. A private interment will be at Signal Hill Memorial Park.
