Samantha "Sam" Jean Blanz

BLANZ, Samantha “Sam” J., 57, of Mechanicsville, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 27, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Betty Lou and Eldon McFarland, Sr.; brothers, Eldon C. McFarland, Jr., Charlie McFarland; and Eldon McFarland III. Sam is survived by her loving husband, Donald Blanz; daughter, Amanda Blanz; son, Brandon Blanz; brother, Stephen McFarland; nieces, Celeste Fleming, Stephanie McFarland, Tiffany McFarland; nephews, Charlie McFarland, Richard McFarland; along with many loving nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. Sam loved motorcycle riding, being with her grandchildren, Disney World, collecting, and Noah’s Ark. The Family Will Receive Friends from 4-6pm on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Parkway Mechanicsville, VA 23111. A Celebration of Life will begin at 6pm. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of Sam.
