Ronald "Ron" W. Hale

HALE, Ron – 75 of Mechanicsville, VA passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, October 12, 2023. He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Hale, and mother, Martha Wright. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Kitty Hale; daughter, Traci Parsley (Greg); grandson, Luke Parsley; stepdaughter, Amy Cross; stepson, Lee Hawthorne; and step-grandchildren, Catlyn Callahan, and Ryan Cross. Ron played baseball at Highland Springs High School and is honored in their Hall of Fame. He was drafted to the Baltimore Orioles and U.S. Army simultaneously and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. After returning to Virginia, he worked as a draftsman for the highway department. Ron then worked for a car dealership before opening his own cab and limousine service. After owning his cab and limousine service, he worked at Moore Cadillac as their preowned car manager until his retirement 2 years ago. The family will receive friends from 4 - 6 pm, Monday, October 16, 2023, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy. Mechanicsville, VA 23111. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Rd Triangle, VA 22172.
