Ronald Alan "Ron" Ruby

RUBY, Ronald “Ron” Alan; 74 of Varina, VA went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, July 31, 2022. He was the son of Jesse and Matilda Ruby. He is survived by his best friend and loving wife, Judy Hodges Ruby; and his children, Kelly Denison (Greg), Jeff Ruby (Karen), Tracy Hunter (Roger), Christy Hodges (Mark), and Shelly Wagner (David); 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandsons. Ron was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved all of his children unconditionally. Ron retired from Honeywell and loved volunteering for his community of Settlers Ridge. He was a member of Sandston Baptist Church, where he served as an usher and teller. He loved volunteering for mission projects through the Baptist Men’s Brotherhood Group, especially the Oregon Hill Breakfast Program. His passions were the Pittsburg Steelers, bowling, golf, and traveling with his wife, Judy. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm on Saturday, August 6, 2022, with a memorial service to follow at 2 pm, at Sandston Baptist Church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to Sandston Baptist Church, 100 W. Williamsburg Road, Sandston, VA 23150.
