Ronald Ray Perkins

PERKINS, Ronald Ray – 59 of South Boston, VA went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald Morris Perkins and Shirley Layne Newcomb, his sisters, Joann Davis and Dorothy Thomas; and his niece, Kolby Singleton. He is survived by his loving wife, Janet Perkins; six children, Christina Roman (Jeremy), Renee Perkins, Jason Perkins (Dovie), Casey Perkins, Diamond Perkins (Sarah), Brandon Perkins (Summer); 10 grandchildren, Brianna, Ava, Jason Jr., Topanga, Liam, Julian, Spencer, Neveah, Damion, Levi, and another arriving soon; four sisters, Brenda Bolick (Obed), Marcia Perkins, Cathy Ortega, and Carolyn Phillips; and his brother, David Perkins (Rita). Ray never met a stranger. He was a walking testament to God. He was kind, compassionate, and always willing to help anyone in need. He enjoyed camping, fishing, music, playing guitar, singing, and writing music, but his greatest love was for the time he shared with his beloved family.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm - 1 pm, Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Hope Church, 2203 Wilborn Avenue, Suite #100, South Boston, VA 24592, with a Celebration of Life to follow at 1:00 pm.
