Ronald Wayne ("Ronnie") Light

LIGHT, Ronald Wayne “Ronnie” 74, of Mechanicsville, VA peacefully passed away, on Friday, November 10, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Lucy Light; and his brothers, Clay and Steven Light. He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Donna Light; three children, Kelly Shingleton (Harry), Kevin Light (Megan), and Blake Diana (Paul); six grandchildren, Hailey, Wyatt, Carter, Gracie, Berkley, and Asa; two sisters, Karen Lahocki (John) and Jo Ann Light. Ronnie proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps. He was an avid fisherman, loved Nascar, watching his son play baseball, and spending time with his family. The family will receive guests from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm, Monday, November 13, 2023, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy., Mechanicsville, VA 23111. A memorial service will be held at 11 am, Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Gethsemane Church of Christ, 5146 Mechanicsville Turnpike, Mechanicsville, VA 23111. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Kidney Foundation.
