GREY, Ronald “Ron” - 71, of Henrico, Virginia, went to be with the Lord surrounded by family on Monday, May 19, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Francelia Grey, and his brother, Robert Wayne Grey (Patricia). He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Sandra Grey; his children, Jennifer Atkinson Bolling (Todd), Elizabeth Uhrinek (David), Tommy Jeter (Wanda), and Sarah Reese Phillips; his grandchildren, Cole, Tyler, Maddox, TJ (Ashley), Victoria (Russell), Megan, Kahlan, Logan, Hailey, and Brynli; great-grandchildren Vyncent and AJ; and a brother, Johnny Grey. Ron was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His love, kindness, and strength touched the lives of all who knew him. Playing Santa wasn’t just a holiday tradition for Ron, it was a cherished role he took to heart with great joy and dedication, bringing smiles to hundreds of adults and children for many years. Ron also enjoyed woodworking and was a talented musician, focused on guitar and harmonica. He retired in 2023 from Home Depot after 24 years of faithful service.
The family will receive friends from 11 am - 12 pm on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Parkway, Mechanicsville, VA 23111, with a Memorial Service at noon. The family invites everyone to join them for a reception immediately following the service in the funeral home lounge.
