Rogina E. Bailey

 BAILEY, Rogina E.; 63, of Mechanicsville, went to be with the Lord September 29, 2020. She is proceeded in death by her parents, Roger Matthews and Faye Hawkins, her son Charles Bailey Jr., her nephew, Gary Keith Cobb Jr., and her great-niece, Zoey Jane Pittman. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Fred Bailey; her sons, Kevin Bailey (Pamela), Kyle Bailey (Katey), Mike Bailey (Debbie), grandchildren; Kody, Seth, Scarlett, Tessa, Patrick (Pauline), Kelly (Johnathan), and J.B.; Great Grandchildren, Ford  and Riley, her sister; Jody Cobb (Gary) and her brother Grady Matthews; her best friends Christine Wright and Debbie Jacobs, her beloved pets, and so many other dear friends, too many to list here.

Rogina loved music, particularly classic country tunes. . She sang karaoke, played the clarinet, and loved playing songs on the piano every Christmas. She babysat so many children, including NFL player, Josh Wells, and made lasting friendships with all their parents. She drove a school bus for Hanover County for 17 years. Rogina loved taking care of kids. Every room she went into was lit up with her joy and laughter. She had a passion for animals. There was never a time she did not have a pet. At one point the house felt like a farm! She will forever be in our hearts.

The family will receive friends from 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Friday October 2,2020 at Monaghan Funeral Home; 7300 Creighton Pkwy, Mechanicsville, VA 23111. A funeral service will be held Saturday October 3, 2020 at Monaghan Funeral Home at 1pm, followed by Interment at Hanover Memorial Park.
