Robert G. Hudgins, Sr.

Robert G. Hudgins Sr, 78, of Henrico, VA, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 3, 2025. Robert was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betsy; his parents, James and Jean; and his grandchild, Pamela Inkelaar. He is survived by his brother, Jimmy (Pat); his daughter, Mary Dovel (Brad); his son,  Robert Jr. (Dawn); his daughter, Samantha Madison (Vince); his son, Gene (Nichole); his stepchildren, Thomas Farley Jr (Janice) and Donna Dickens (Willie); his grandchildren, Jerry Dorman Jr, Matthew Zabrowski, Jonathan Zabrowski, Nicole Beck, Annie Leedy, Laura Hudgins, Elizabeth Hudgins, Tyler Breeden, Roy Bourne, Isaiah Bourne, Malik Hancock, Dylan Hall, Madyson Hudgins, Heather Van Dyk (Clayton), Jennifer Via, Victoria Holsapple (Tommy), Kimberly Parker; and his great-grandchildren, Landon, Lukas, Lane, Lincoln, Guinevere, James, Samuel, Lilly, Amaya, Carter, Luke, and Emma; and a large circle of extended family and friends. Robert loved gardening, fishing, driving his vintage Mustang, his family, and his Lord. He retired from Pepsi after over 30 years of service. He attended Oakwood Memorial Baptist Church for over 35 years. He most recently attended Black Creek Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM -12:00 PM, Friday, November 14, 2025, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Parkway, Mechanicsville, VA 23111, with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Pilots Lane, Richmond, VA 23222.
