Robert M. "Hawkeye" Hawkins

HAWKINS, Robert M. “ Hawkeye” 89, of Mechanicsville, VA passed away, Saturday, January 2, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Christopher Hawkins; and a friend, Chris Bentley. Robert is survived by his dear friends, Tommy Taylor, Richard and Jennifer Watts, Arthur Wyatt and Mar Bentley. He was a US Navy veteran and a retired yardmaster for the railroad. He enjoyed his job at the railroad and eating at the Mechanicsville Drug Store. His greatest passion was fishing on the Chesapeake Bay. A graveside service will be held, 11:00 am, Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Signal Hill Memorial Park, 12360 Hanover Courthouse Rd., Hanover, VA 23069.
