SMITH, Rebecca Robinson, was born to the late James Milton Robinson and Edna Bernice Robinson on February 12, 1952. She departed this earthly life on Sunday, October 20, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Smith; father, James Milton Robinson; brother, James Jr.; and sisters, Velma Robinson, and Arline Lee (Rufus).
To family and friends, she was known as Sunshine. Sunshine moved to Cleveland, Ohio at the age of 16 where she attended and graduated from Job Corp. She worked for and retired from the State of Ohio Liquor Department. After retirement, she became a private duty companion. Sunshine enjoyed taking care of people, cooking, entertaining, gambling, and her adult cocktails. She always took pride in her appearance and remained a lady at all times. We all know the famous Sunshine quotes..... I'm the Sunshine and you are not, and Thanks for letting me do it.
Sunshine leaves to cherish her memories, her beloved daughter, Rokisha Robinson Smith-Bradford; daughter-in-law, Ti' Yanna Bradford; grandson, Kingston Rovelle Ja'Quan Whitaker; devoted spiritual advisor, Raymond Lee; sisters, Mildred Terry (Lawrence), Elsie Ahmad (Musa), Dale Robinson, Cynthia Robinson, lone Robinson, Allyna Hughley (Dameion), Lina Robinson, and Ceasareen Robinson; her brother, Eric Robinson (Angela); and a host of nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Walter Sellars and her niece, Retina Robinson-Sellars.
