FRENCH, Randy – 60, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Paula French; son, Eric (Skylar) French; two grandchildren, Hunter French and Riley Kibler; parents, Malcolm and Betty French; and sister Sandra (David) Rickman. Randy started working at West Engineering on September 8, 1986. He noted on his application for employment that, “he wants to become a machinist”. He enrolled at Richmond Tech Center where he took machine shop classes and then went on to sign an “Apprenticeship Agreement” with West engineering on May 19, 1988. Randy started in the drill area running the Pratt and Whitney QA Models, K&T VB4. Then he worked in the lathe area on 4 axis Okuma. He also ran the G&L FX50 boring mill. Randy was an excellent machinist who took great pride to make things right. When he was not at work, he could be found in the woods hunting. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 pm on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy Mechanicsville VA 23111.
