Peggy Ann Smith

Smith, Peggy Ann, 83, of Mechanicsville, went to be with the Lord on June 20, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Hattie Donovan; sister, Margaret Anderson; and brother, “Buchum” Donovan. She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Allan K. Smith Sr.; sons, Allan Smith Jr. (Rebecca) and Michael Smith; grandchildren, Allan K. Smith III (Amanda), Melissa Bower (Justin), and Jonathan Smith; Great-grandchildren, Autumn Lillian Smith, Destiney Smith, Gracie Bower, Amos Bower, Madison Bower, and Jaxson Bower; and numerous other family members. Peggy was a beloved wife and mother. She was always there to help her children and grandchildren without hesitation. She was a lover of country music and watching “I Love Lucy” or Westerns on TV any chance she got. She enjoyed sewing, Knitting, and cooking. She will always be remembered as the loving wife and mother that she was. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, from 1-3 pm at Gethsemane Church of Christ, 5146 Mechanicsville Turnpike, Mechanicsville, VA. 23111, where a funeral service will follow at 3 pm. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the building and grounds fund at Gethsemane Church of Christ.
