Otis Ray Henley, Jr.

HENLEY, Jr., Otis Ray 80 of Mechanicsville, VA peacefully passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Beatrice and Otis Henley, Sr. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Karen Shelton Henley; two children, Otis Ray “Trey” Henley, III and April Renee Finno (Patrick); two grandchildren, Nicholas and Olivia Finno; a sister, Frances Martin (Welford); two sisters-in-law, Cherry Shelton and Elizabeth Shelton; and his precious fur baby, Percy. Ray proudly served his country in the US Navy. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He took great care of his family and carefully preplanned his final arrangements to make things easier on Karen when the time came. He will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends, Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 11 am – noon at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy., Mechanicsville, VA 23111. A graveside service will follow at 1 pm at Hanover Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation at T2T.org.
