Neva Boyd Barnett

Neva Boyd Barnett, 76, of Mechanicsville, went to be with the Lord on May 26, 2026.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ober and Elvira Boyd; and her older brother
Sonny Boyd. She is survived by her beloved husband William Barnett, her loving
daughters Kelly Stimpson (Brad) and Susie Anderson (Kevin Williams); her
grandchildren Alyssa, Robert (Tori), and Jamie; and her great grandchildren Weston
and Laken.
Neva had a love for NASCAR racing and Virginia Tech Football (Go Hokies!). She
spent her life caring for everyone around her and was a devoted caregiver to her
husband. She spent hours crocheting blankets for every new baby and never failed to
send a card for birthdays and anniversaries. Neva loved lighthouses and took pride in
seeing and climbing as many as she could on trips with husband Bill.
Family will receive friends at 10 a.m. on June 5, 2026 at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300
Creighton Parkway, Mechanicsville, VA, followed by a service at 10:30 a.m. A graveside
service will be held at 12 pm on June 5, 2026 at Westhampton Memorial and Cremation
Park, 10000 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, VA. Her family will miss her dearly, as do all
who knew and loved her.
