Nancy Irene (Roberts) Roberts

ROBERTS, Nancy Irene, 61, of Mechanicsville, (formerly of College Park, Maryland), went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, July 10, 2018. She was preceded in death by her father, Erle Roberts; who was a former Marine and business owner. Nancy is survived by her devoted husband of 31 years, Richard Gordon; 2 sons; Ryan Gordon (Stephanie) and Chad Gordon; 1 grandson; Henry William Gordon, her mother; Mary Kramer Roberts, 3 siblings, and her best friend, Deborah Banton. Nancy loved the water. Her favorite times were spent with her family and friends relaxing and crabbing at the river or going to Myrtle Beach in the summertime. Her great love of the water and of gatherings is what brought her the most joy in her life. Her infectious smile and laughter welcomed everyone. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The family will receive friends, Friday, July 13, 2018 from 5-7 pm, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy. Mechanicsville, VA 23111. All other services will be private. Nancy’s favorite flowers were red and white carnations.
