Mantlo, Mildred Goodman, “Puchie” and “Janie”, age 95, claimed God’s promise on August 13, 2024. She was the only child of Gladys B. and Ryland J. Goodman. Born on a Hanover tomato farm on June 29, 1929. She lived within 100 yards of this farm most of her life. She was the widow of G. Brinkley Mantlo, and they were married for 58 years. She retired from AAA of Virginia with 33 years of service and was a member of HRWC. There are no immediate survivors, only cousins, Margaret, Suellen, Lisa, Jew, and Jimmy. She was blessed by God in her life by Allen and Nancy King, David and Darlene Higgins, Ron and Marilyn Collins, and Greg and Dawn Parker. She wishes to thank all her Christian friends at Black Creek and thank God for his love and grace. “Puchie” and her family and caregivers wish to express their most sincere thanks to the caring nurses and staff at Covenant Woods Assisted Living, who made her last year so special for all of us.
