Mildred "Millie" L. Austin

AUSTIN, Mildred L. “Millie” – 96 of Mechanicsville, VA, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 28, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Hazel McDaniel; and three brothers, Ralph, Kirby, and James McDaniel. She is survived by her daughters, Jeanette Canady and Greer Harvey; her granddaughter, Tiffany Talley (Mike); two great-grandchildren, Anthony Talley (Leslee) and Chase Talley (Sydney); two great-great-grandchildren, Canaan and Mack Talley; two sisters, Ruth Garbett and Doris Balderson; and many nieces and nephews. Millie was an avid reader and a lover of animals. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends from 10 – 11 am, on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at New Bethesda Baptist Church, 9019 New Bethesda Rd., Mechanicsville, VA 23116, with a funeral service to be held at 11 am. Interment will follow at Hanover Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the staff at Autumn Care for their loving care for Millie for the last five years. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to New Bethesda Baptist Church.
