Medea Lais Papagiacumos

Papagiacumos, Medea, 46 of Hopewell, VA. entered eternal rest on September 10, 2025. Medea was a mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend with incredible strength, resilience, courage, and compassion. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmanuel Papagiacumos and Sherrie Stewart; and her beloved dog, T-Bone Papagiacumos. Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Kayden; her siblings, Margarita (Noal), Jason (Julie), Alexander (Amber), Nikolas (Sam), Demitra (Craig), and Athena; a life-long best friend, Sandra Garrett; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Medea was most proud of being a mother to her son, Kayden. She had an undeniable love for spending time with her family and caring for other people. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 pm on Monday, September 15, 2025, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy, Mechanicsville, VA. 23111. A Celebration of Life will begin at 2 PM with a reception to follow at the family home. In Lieu of flowers, in loving memory of Medea, contributions can be made to organizations that help survivors of domestic violence/abuse, such as the James House, Hanover Safe Place, Safe Harbor, or one of your choice.
