Mary (Wade) Blair

Maria Graziella, known to most as Mary Wade Blair, 81, of Mechanicsville, VA, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025. Born on January 28, 1944, in La Spezia, Italy, Mary brought grace and warmth into every life she touched. She was the devoted wife of almost 60 years to Rick Blair and a loving mother to her three daughters, Lorri Blair, Tiffany Blair Eisentrout (Steve) and Ashley Blair. Her greatest joy came from her family, and she was also a very proud and adoring grandmother to Blair Mercer, and Noah, Lucas, and Mason Eisentrout. Mary is also survived by her beloved sister, Betty Wade Tyler and brother-in-law, Cliff Tyler, brother-in-law, James Crumpler and niece Vicki Crumpler Callahan (Pete). She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Bruna Burroni Wade, her nephews, Christopher and Ryan Tyler, sister-in-law, JoAnn Cowan Blair Crumpler and niece, Deborah Ann Crumpler Hiatt. Mary was a faithful parishioner of the Catholic Church of the Redeemer in Mechanicsville, where her spiritual life and faith were a cornerstone of her daily living. Mary will be remembered by many not only for her compassion, stubbornness, and the unwavering love of her family but also for her love of her Italian heritage, seashells, the color purple, a good joke, game night, pink flamingos and Star Wars. A memorial service will be held at the Catholic Church of the Redeemer on May 28, 2025, at 11 AM. Family and friends are invited to come together in remembrance, love, and prayer. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Mary’s memory. The family would like to thank Lakeside Senior Living and Ascend Hospice for the great care and compassion they showed Mary. Mary's legacy lives on through her family, her faith, and the kindness she offered so freely.
