Mark Alan Powers

POWERS, Mark Alan- 63, of Mechanicsville, VA  departed this life Sunday, February 14, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his father, James Powers; mother and stepfather, Arthur and Sadie Price; father-in-law, Dean Herting; and son-in-law, Leroy Maclin. Mark is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Tricia Powers; daughters, Crystal Fischer (Sean) Nicole Maclin (the late Leroy), Jennifer Rath (Justin), and Kimberly Seay (Kyle); sisters, Sandra O’Connor (Dave), and Teresa Price (Mark); brother, David Powers; mother-in-law, Sharon Herting; and 8 grandchildren, Anthony, Leah, Noah, Paige, Piper, Penelope, Ryland, and Sutton. Mark enjoyed fishing, woodworking, welding, a cold Miller Lite, and riding his Harley.  He found great peace and joy in his early morning quiet time, spent drinking coffee with his wife. The family will receive friends, Wednesday, February 17, 2021 from 5- 6 pm at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy., Mechanicsville, VA 23111 where a memorial service will immediately follow at 6 pm. Interment will be private.
