Marjorie "Paula" Downs

DOWNS, Marjorie "Paula"; a beloved daughter, sister, spouse, mother, grandmother, and the proud owner of Capture One Hair Studio departed from this world on September 10, 2023, after a courageous battle with Melanoma cancer.  Born on February 01, 1978, Paula’s life was a testament to love, family, and unwavering strength. 

She is survived by her devoted parents, Bruce and Gayle Anderson, her cherished brother Stephen Anderson, and her loving spouse, Daryl Martin. Paula’s legacy of love extends to her three daughters, Samantha, Kerstyn, and Madison, who were the center of her world. She also embraced her role as a stepmother to Cory Martin (Lauren), nurturing him as if he were her own. 

Paula’s warmth and kindness knew no bounds, as evidenced by the deep bond she shared with her four adoring grandchildren, June, Michael, Dominic, and Maria. Her wisdom and generosity will forever be remembered as she played an integral part in their lives. 

Paula’s extended family, including her loving in-laws Brenda and Larry Martin, was an essential part of her life, providing unwavering support and love throughout her journey. 

In addition to her devotion to family, Paula was a pillar of her community as the owner of Capture One Hair Studio. Her passion for hairstyling and commitment to making her clients feel their best was evident in every aspect of her work. Her salon was not just a place of beauty but a haven of friendship and support. 

Paula’s battle with Melanoma cancer showcased her remarkable strength and determination, inspiring all who knew her. She faced this challenge with grace and resilience, embodying the true spirit of a fighter. 

Paula’s journey on this earth may have ended, but her spirit, the love she showered upon her family, and the impact of her salon on the community will continue to live on in their hearts. Her memory will forever be a beacon of love, resilience, and the importance of family bonds. 

Paula’s family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the support and condolences received during this difficult time. Your kindness has provided solace during their time of grief. May Paula Downs rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love of those she held dear.  She will be deeply missed and forever remembered, both as a beloved family member and as the caring owner of Capture One Hair Studio, where her legacy of beauty, love, and resilience continues to shine.
