Margaret "Mickey" Herring

HERRING, Margaret “Mickey”, 84, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. Mickey was preceded in death by her husband, Barbour Herring. She is survived by her daughter, Tina Maxson (Ed); her son, Dan Atcheson (Ramona); her brother, Bobby Atcheson (Kathleen); her grandchildren, Joey (Olivia), Sammy, Jordan, Kayla, Emily, and Aly; her niece, Maureen; her nephew, Michael; and many other cousins. Mickey devoted 38 years of service to NASA in different roles. She was a very dedicated parishioner of the Church of the Redeemer. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, January 5th, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Redeemer, 8275 Meadowbridge Rd, Mechanicsville, VA 23111. The inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked if you could donate to Church of the Redeemer in Margaret’s name.
