Armstrong, Linda Buchwald, 80, of Sandston, VA, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2025, after a brief battle with cancer. Linda was happiest outdoors, gardening and camping, serving as a volunteer with her husband at Sherando Lake, Huntington Beach State Park (SC), and enjoying many other campsites along the East Coast. During colder months, Linda enjoyed crafting, sewing, and quilting, keeping the family stocked with many decorative touches in their homes. She also loved spending time with her children, family, and friends, especially during camping trips, crab pickings, and beach days.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Bredahl Buchwald (Father) and Frances Maddrey Buchwald (Mother) and Mike White (Brother-in-Law). Linda is survived by the love of her life, James Donald Armstrong (Husband), Sister Judy Buchwald White and Children, Laurie Michelle Hall (Rich), James Donald Armstrong, Jr. (Dawn) and Thomas Frederick “Rick” Armstrong (Jennifer), Grandchildren Kylie Leber (Zachary), Berkley Hall, Patrick Hall (Kendall), Dylan Armstrong, Alexander Armstrong, Great Grandson Casey Leber, Brother in Law, Lee Armstrong (Carol).
As we celebrate her life, visitors will be received on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, from 4 - 7 pm at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Parkway, Mechanicsville, VA.
