Linda Rebecca (Johnson) Anderson

ANDERSON, Linda Rebecca – 68 of Stafford, VA peacefully, passed away, Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and William Johnson, Sr., and her siblings, William Johnson, Jr., Garland Johnson, Sr., Shirley Austin, Julia Venable, Ronald Johnson and Donald Johnson. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, James Anderson; three daughters, Sheila Walker (Michael), Cathy Kerns (Davy), and Morgan Anderson (who was her primary caregiver); six grandchildren, Jason, James, Aron, Heather, Casey, and Rebecca; four great-grandchildren, Braxton, Zayden, Morgan and arriving soon, Oakleigh; a brother, Kenny Johnson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Linda had a deep and abiding faith in God, which helped her survive stage 4 breast cancer in 2007. She enjoyed dancing, country music, (especially Conway Twitty and Elvis), “I Love Lucy”, word search puzzles, her fur babies and grand dogs, and collecting Beanie Babies, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Her children and grandchildren were always her priority and greatest love. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm, Friday, January 14, 2022, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy., Mechanicsville, VA 23111, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at noon. Interment will follow at 3 pm, at Mechanicsville Baptist Church, 10200 Louisa Rd., Gordonsville, VA 22942. In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor can be made to the SPCA or your local humane society.
