Klothilde "Hilde" (Weber) Mitchell

MITCHELL, Klothilde “Hilde” – 86 of Mechanicsville, VA, gained her heavenly wings on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. She was greeted in heaven by her beloved husband of 36 years, Talmadge “Mike” Mitchell, her daughter, Deanna Mitchell; brother, Manfred Weber, and her great-niece, Amanda Revell. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Siegfried Mitchell (Kim), Michael Mitchell (Tammy), and Tammy Ferris (Randy); eight grandchildren, Kip, Lindsey, Jake, Richard, Cory, Dallas, Cole, and Kelsey; four great-grandchildren, Kamryn, Ryan, Harry, and Peyton; her sister, Maria Tanzer (Josef); devoted niece, Sharon Revell (Everett); and her lifelong best friend, Joan Karnes. Hilde was born in Germany. She was a strong, hard-working, independent woman with a selfless heart. She always put others first. She loved reading her Bible, gardening, bird watching, and knitting. She had a strong faith and loved the Lord. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends from 10 – 11 am, on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Parkway, Mechanicsville, VA 23111, with a funeral service to follow at 11 am. Interment will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Quantico National Cemetery.
