Kevin Dale Cauthorne, 62, of Glen Allen, Virginia, passed away on February 7, 2026.
Born and raised in Glen Allen, Kevin was known for his dedication as a maintenance technician and his deep love of history—especially World War II. He was an award-winning model builder and a lifelong beach lover, with Aruba being his favorite place in the world.
Kevin is survived by his mother, Edith “LaVerne” Cauthorne; his brothers Ted (Madalyn), Ricky (Lisa), and Keith; nephews Andrew (Carrie), Berkley (Catherine), and Bryan; and great-nieces Charlotte and Carter. He was preceded in death by his father, William J. Cauthorne; grandparents James Berkley Harris and Virgie Walton Harris; and great-aunt Ivery Walton. Kevin’s memory will also be cherished by a host of extended family, including his aunt Catherine Kiiffner and cousins Clifton Purks, Stephanie Breschel, and Pam Seay.
Special thanks to the nurses and aides from VCU Health Home Hospice who worked tirelessly to ensure Kevin was comfortable, and for supporting our family. Additionally, we are grateful for the guidance and kindness shown by the team at VCU Health, N4N Palliative Care Unit who were true angels during his final days.
Family and friends are invited to a Graveside Service at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Calvary Christian Church, 14196 Ashland Rd, Glen Allen, VA.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in his honor.
