Kenneth Wayne McLeod

McLeod, Kenneth Wayne- 79 of Mechanicsville, VA, peacefully passed away at home after a long battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Dorothy McLeod, and his brothers, Michael and Billy McLeod. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Flora McLeod; daughters, Cherrie Chettle (Mike), and Terry Gilley (Mike); grandchildren, Abby and Brandon Gilley, Emilee Houtz (Andrew), Steven Houtz, Anna Houtz, Michelle Chettle (Brian) and Melissa Crawford (Dan); three great-grandchildren, Rylee, Eliza, and Luca; his brothers, Steve and Donald McLeod, and his sister, Judy Veorse. Kenny was an avid deer and turkey hunter; he enjoyed gardening and watching NASCAR. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and taking truck rides with his dog, Luke. The family will receive friends from 10 – 11 am on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Black Creek Baptist Church, 6289 McClellan Rd., Mechanicsville, VA 23111, with a funeral service at 11 am. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name can be made to the church.
