Hostutler, June Carolyn Harrup, 79 of Mechanicsville, VA. passed away peacefully at her home on February 11, 2026, with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her son, James Glenn “J.G.” Rumbaugh, and grandson Brandon James Peddicord, both of Mechanicsville; her brother, Raymond “Butch” Harrup of Waverly; and sisters Lillian Holdsworth of Disputana and Doris Jean Westbrook of Waverly. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Clyde Hostutler; daughter, Mikki Rumbaugh, both of Mechanicsville; a stepson, Ronald Hostutler (Lisa) of Onley, Maryland; brother, Ernest “Pike” Harrup of Claremont; sister, Patricia Padgett of Disputana; and numerous nieces and nephews. June worked for many years at Virginia Power before devoting herself to Clyde’s Transfer Inc. She traveled all over the country in service to her husband’s business. She was a devoted part of his team, and they thoroughly enjoyed their time spent together on the road. She was known in the trucking community as “Ms. Clyde”, a woman of strong influence and undocumented authority. June also loved the beach and was a loving wife and mother. She will be greatly missed and her memory forever cherished. The family will receive friends from 11 am-12:30 pm on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Monaghan Funeral Home; 7300 Creighton Pkwy, Mechanicsville, VA. 23111. A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:30 pm with an interment to follow at Signal Hill Memorial Park; 12360 Hanover Courthouse Road, Hanover, VA 23069.
