Joyce Eberly

EBERLY, Joyce, 78, of Varina, VA, went to be with the Lord on April 28, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Lottie Doeppe, her son-in-law Britt Mantlo, her mother-in-law and father-law, Vicky and Hurst Eberly, and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bobby and Cheryl Eberly.

 She is survived by her devoted husband, James Hurst Eberly Jr, her daughter Shannon Mantlo, her grandchildren, Mackenzie Mantlo (Jacob) and Brannon Mantlo, her nieces, Kristen Pierce and Leanne Coston and their families, her beloved cat, Bella, and so many dear friends.

Joyce and James celebrated 58 wonderful years of marriage, but they actually met as infants 78 years ago, and were together in the cradle rolls of Four Mile Creek Baptist Church in Varina, Virginia. She loved her family, decorating her home, watching Hallmark movies, and caring for her begonias. She will be deeply missed.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 11 am to 12 pm at Sandston Baptist Church, 100 W. Williamsburg Rd Sandston, VA 23150. A memorial service will begin at 12pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Sandston Baptist Church,100 W. Williamsburg Rd. Sandston VA 23150.
