Puchalski, Joan Veronica, 83, of Mechanicsville, Virginia, formerly of Philadelphia and Ambler, PA, departed this life on Saturday, May 11, 2024. Joan was preceded in death by her father, Casimer A. (Whitey) Olszewski; and her mother, Veronica (nee Murzyn) Olszewski. She is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Theodore (Ted) Puchalski of Mechanicsville, VA; her four children whom she loved dearly, Christine (Kermit) Burroughs of Henrico, VA, Ted (Beth) Puchalski of Henrico, VA, Tom (Nikki) Puchalski of Glendale, AZ, and Dan (Jen) Puchalski of Gordonsville, VA; and her sisters, Jean (Stan Blaszczak) Dardzinski of Ambler, Nancy (Jim) Mellon of Allentown, PA, Jane (Andy) Goldstein of Gladwyne, PA. Joan was the grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 1 precious great grandchild. The family will receive friends at 9 a.m to 10 a.m. with a memorial service to follow at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Parkway, Mechanicsville, VA 23111. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the American Cancer Society in support of Ted Puchalski.
