Jerrold Paul John Much

MUCH, Jerrold “Jerry’- 82 of Mechanicsville, VA, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 10, 2025. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Emma Jean Much; his parents, Kenneth and Evelyn Much; and his brother, Ken Much. He is survived by his children, Jeri Anderson, Melissa Blow (Ricky), Brian Much, and Paula Baird (Ben); six grandchildren, Steven (Rachel), Amanda, Amelia, Austin, Zachary, and Samuel; nine great-grandchildren, Andrew, John, Colton, Hunter, Autumn, Cheyenne, Chloe, Seth, and Kemberlyn; his sister, Joann Heier; brothers, Wayne Much (Marilee) and Dennis Much; and many other relatives and friends. Jerry proudly served his country in the US Navy. He was an electrician and a member of Local #666. He was a long-time member of Black Creek Baptist Church. Jerry was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time outside. He was a lover of ice cream and pie and enjoyed them as often as possible. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends from 3 – 5 pm, Monday, March 17, 2025, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy., Mechanicsville, VA 23111, with a funeral service immediately following at 5 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to Black Creek Baptist Church.
