Jennifer L. Strattman

STRATTMAN, Jennifer L. 50, of Mechanicsville, VA entered eternal peace on Sunday, October 20, 2024. She was preceded in death by her father, Dr. D.W. Strattman. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Christopher Charles, Jalen O’Neal, Trevonne Gregory, Jenniah Rain, and Gianna Grace; her mother, Susan Carter Strattman (William D. Carter); three sisters, Susan Lassiter (Antonio), Stacy Miller, and Stephanie Henkle (Glen); her nieces and nephews, Brandon, Brianna, Amari, Alana, Anderson (Kaitlyn), Megan, Jake, Sophia, and J. D.; and many other family and friends. Jennifer grew up in Virginia Beach and graduated from First Colonial High School. She attended Ohio State University and Old Dominion University. She was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. Jennifer loved animals and devoted over 30 years to a career in veterinary medicine. She liked German food, and trips to the beach. She enjoyed watching sports, especially Ravens football and Yankees baseball. Her greatest love was for her children, to whom she was completely devoted. She was always active in their lives and genuinely loved being a football, baseball, and cheerleading mom. Jennifer cherished her time spent with her family above all. She was loving and kind and will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy., Mechanicsville, VA 23111.
