Jeffrey B. Montgomery, Sr.

MONTGOMERY, Sr., Jeffrey B. – 62 of Henrico, VA passed away, Thursday, September 14, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Beverly Montgomery. He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Debbie; his son, Bryant Montgomery (Katie); his pride and joy, his grandson, Maddox Montgomery; four siblings, Jimmie Montgomery (Teresa), Margie Elswick (Mike), Davey Montgomery, and Matt Montgomery (Joyce); nephews, Jeffery Montgomery (Linda), Jamie Marr, Michael Marr (Christina), Chandler Montgomery (Crystal), and Chadden Montgomery (Abigail); dear friend, Roman Bew (Cindy); and many great-nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Jeff graduated from Chickahominy Academy in 1978 and went to work for the State of Virginia General Services until he retired after 36 years of faithful service. He was a long-time volunteer for the Varina Recreation Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and country music. Jeff was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for his family and friends. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandson. The family will receive friends Friday, September 22, 2023, from 11 am – 12 pm, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy., Mechanicsville, VA 23111, with a memorial service to begin at noon. A reception lunch will follow in the funeral home lounge. In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor can be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Kidney Foundation.
