Jamie Leigh (Barton) Allgood

Allgood, Jamie, 38 of Ruther Glen, VA. departed this life on September 15, 2025, and is now with Christ. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles Wilfred and Jean Elizabeth Smith, and Robert Sargent and Urma Byrle Barton. Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 12 years, Ottie Allgood Jr; their 3 children, Briahna, Judah, and Oliver Allgood; her parents, Bruce and Elaine Barton; and her siblings, Jayson Barton (Olivia), Joshiah Barton (Heather), Alicia Barton, and Andrew Vernon Barton; and numerous nieces and nephews born and soon to be born. Jamie loved Christ and her church. She was a lawyer until she was graciously promoted to being a stay-at-home mother and had the opportunity to homeschool her children. Jamie was a devoted wife who was a blessing to her husband Ottie, and a beloved mother to her children. Jamie was eternally optimistic and full of joy. She fiercely loved her family and Christ her Savior. The family will host visitation at Alturia Farm from 6-8 p.m. on Friday September 19, 2025, 6101 Dabneys Mill Rd., Manquin, Va, 23106. A Memorial Service will be held at Mechanicsville High School on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 1 PM, 7052 Mechanicsville Tpke, Mechanicsville, VA 23111. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
