James "Jim" Alan Friedline

FRIEDLINE, James “Jim” 78, of New Kent, VA passed away, Sunday, July 9, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Evelyn Heningcamp; and his grandparents, John and Agnes Mertle. He is survived by his children, Christopher Friedline (Peggy Hu) and Jennifer Friedline (Thomas Farley); a grandson, Alexander “A.J.” Friedline; and his half-sister, Teresa Heningcamp. Jim proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked as an auditor for the U.S. Army for over 25 years. During his career he spent time in both Italy and Germany. He was also a member of the VFW. Jim was an avid reader. He loved to learn new things. He had a unique sense of humor, and enjoyed sharing his jokes with all who would listen. As a native Pennsylvanian, he had a passion for Pittsburgh sports teams. The family will receive friends from 3 – 4 pm, Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy. Mechanicsville, VA 23111, with a memorial service to follow at 4 pm.
